ESTON & THE OUTS
In 2013, songwriter Eston Dickinson returned to his native Raleigh, NC, and with the help of many musical friends of the area, completed his debut solo album "Knave of the Heart." Released independently, the record slowly began to find its way into folk's ears in NC until an Independent Weekly article shot it into spotlight, calling it "one of the Triangle's most charming pop-rock collections in years."
Not long after, Eston formed a live group with old and new friends already rooted in NC's Music Community. This "Triangle Super Group*," consisting of members of The Love Language,SOON, The Dead Tongues, & more, took up the cause for love Eston's songs, and self-described themselves "Doo Rock." Eston states, "I never dreamed I would end up with the best backing band in the Triangle. I'm truly blessed and full of pride that such pivotal, talented characters of the local scene love my songs so much to take time and effort from their already musically full lives to back me in a group." With the hooks on AM Gold, we think the choice his bandmates have made was quite the easy one. *For those of you not from NC, the "Triangle" happens to be Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill/Carrboro. We forgive you for not being hip to this lingo.
